ReFoSTS 2026 LOC INAUGURATION MEETING

The Regional Food Science and Technology Summit (ReFoSTS) is an annual professional forum organised by the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) through its state/regional chapters across Nigeria. It’s a key event in the Institute’s calendar that brings together experts and stakeholders involved in food science and technology.

What ReFoSTS Is

  • A summit and conference-style gathering focused on issues related to food science, technology, safety, nutrition, innovation and food industry development in Nigeria.
  • Hosted each year by different NIFST regional chapters — for example in Lagos, Western, East Central, Northeast chapters, etc. — ensuring local participation across the country.
  • It often coincides with NIFST Day celebrations, a day marking the Institute’s role and legacy.
